I knew Homer was a good guy but never knew how amazing a person be was. What a great role model and real man.
Last year he and his wife were diagnosed with cancer within three months of each other. She passes away earlier this year, but the emcee read a congratulations letter from her she wrote for him in her final days.
He had never read it before. It made me tear up. First time in about 5 years that I had. Felt good. Therapeutic.
