Since so many people ride bikes here, they have underpasses at busy intersections for walking your bikes. As you can see, it is very steep. Big Dave tried riding his bike down it the first time but quickly learned that was not safe. Little David is seen here walking his bike up the ramp of the underpass.
The people at the local church lent us a couple of bikes, so we rode down to the pier. It is beautiful here! But no beach - the Japanese aren't into tanning - they actually avoid the sun by wearing big hats at long sleeve gloves whenever they go outside - even though it is 90+.
