Our home for the next 2 months

Sent from my iPhone

Takamatsu is a very typical Japanese town- very densely populated. The houses are tiny - we live in a 2 story row house. It is a one bedroom house. Our family lives upstairs in the one bedroom and 3 others sleep in the living room (only room besides a small kitchen and a bathroom)on main floor. It is about 750 sq ft with one bathroom for all 8 of us and no furniture. We all sleep on the floor and our whole team(all16 of us) meets here in the morning for worship and we make all of our meals here.

The reason everything is so small and compact here is because Japan is a volcanic island about the size of California but with 3 or 4 times the population of Calif. Since it is a volcanic island(like Hawaii) it is mountainous and that means they have to live in the valleys. That means all the people live in only 20% of the island. Z
